This piece of desk stationery was a farewell gift from students to their teacher,E.F.Barnett in 1884. Mr Barnett Esq. left the colony of Victoria to travel to New Zealand in the late 19th Century.
The ink well has a wooden base with silver decoration and a silver well on the top to hold a small amount of ink.
