MU4098 is a small bone Roman die (tesserae). Like modern dice, MU4098 has six sides each of which has had dots drilled into it. The sides of the die are numbered in normal sequence from 1-6. Die such as this are widely attested in both Pompeii and Herculaneum and would have been commonly used for games and gambling.
